Coaching is neither counseling nor therapy.

It is for people who seek direction, success, life and work balance, or simply want to improve their life in general.

What is Coaching?

Coaching is a focussed and supportive process that will gently allow you to recognise what is happening now in your life. It will enable you to connect with your inner wisdom in order to find your personal solutions and actions. You will build new muscles of behaviour which will help you to create lasting results.

All coaching can be done face to face or remotely online. Sometimes clients like to start off face to face and continue remotely online. You choose what works best for you.

In a nutshell, a therapist focuses on your pain and healing, but a life coach asks questions to deepen your understanding of your situation and focuses on your present and future.

Watch this fun short movie on how coaching works (3:47).

This is how it works:

My process.

First, we’ll have an initial meeting of around ½ hour. In that meeting you will get to know me as your coach and find out more on coaching, the ICF Code of Ethics and anything else you would like to know.

According to your choice of plan, your next meeting will be scheduled. Each meeting is about 90 minutes long. In the first few meetings you will explore and find out more about your situation, and your vision and how to realise it. At the end of each meeting you will create a plan that you commit to and work with until the next meeting.

Please remember it is you who is in charge of  your process. The coach is there to focus and support you on your journey.

Sessions are offered face-to-face, over the phone, and online (Skype or Zoom). All three are equally effective. Online offers the added benefit of being in your own space which may allow you to be more at ease and comfortable. The choice is yours.

Finding flow in your life is key to happiness.

Why “Lifeflow”:

Flow is a state in which people are involved in an activity that  feels like nothing else matters. It is so enjoyable that people would continue do it for the sheer sake of doing it, describes Michail Cziksentmihalyi who coined the term ‘flow’.

To achieve flow, you need clear goals, and a healthy balance between your skills and challenges – neither too easy nor too difficult. You’re fully focused and in action, there is no concern about failure, and no self-consciousness. Time becomes distorted, and the activity becomes an end in itself.

Here a great little TED Talk video on Flow (18:51)
